Status The Southern Rubber Boa is threatened because, of water diversion, and water extraction, and land activities that destroy soil and habitats like country clubs.

Names The names of the snake are the Southern Rubber Boa, Charina Umbratica, and some people even call it the two headed snake.

Diet The Southern Rubber Boa is a carnivore which means it eats meat like all snakes. The Southern Rubber Boas diet are birds, lizards, and small mammals.

Appearance The Southern Rubber Boa can be the colors of light or dark brown, pink, tan, orange, yellow, cream, or olive-green. The Southern Rubber Boa has a tail that looks like the head used for defense.

Enemies The Southern Rubber Boas enemies are hawks, owls, skunks, racoons, and sometimes even domestic cats.

Position The Southern Rubber Boa lives in the southern part of California: San Bernardino, San Jacinto, and the Tehachapi Mountains.

Defense The Southern Rubber Boa can defend itself like when an enemy comes the Southern Rubber Boa hides its head in its body and puts out the head shaped tail for the enemy to attack the tail instead of its head.
