What students should bring daily to my class: ISN-Interactive Science Notebook Planner (hall pass!) Pencil bag/pens, pencils, colored pencils, etc. glue stick/glue scissors any work due

The fun part: RULES!! I follow the school-wide PBS Expectations are clearly stated Rewards for meeting expectations Interventions for not meeting expectations System is flexible and allows me to intervene as appropriate in each individual situation.

What do I do if I am absent? It is the students’ responsibility to get make-up work the day they return after an absence. They have 2 school days to make up work for each day they were absent.

ISN: VERY IMPORTANT! Interactive Student Notebook or ISN Students should bring their ISN to class EVERYDAY!! ALL homework, class work, and quizzes are glued and organized in their ISN. The ISN will help your child be organized and VERY successful this year!! Ask your child about his/her ISN. They work very hard on them throughout the year!!

TUTORIALS: Tutorials are Monday through Thursday after school. Tutorials are mandatory before retesting. Some examples of what tutorials are used for: Catch up from an absence To get organized To understand something better

ADVISORY: Advisory is used for many purposes such as: -tutorials -studying -finishing homework -assemblies/meetings Expectation is that homework will be worked on during this period.

Grading Scale for science: Pre-Ap: Test/Projects: 50% Labs/Quizzes: 35% Homework/Warm ups: 15% Academic: Test/Projects: 45% Classwork/Quizzes: 40%

Late Work Homework Labs 1 day late – maximum grade a 80 2 days late – maximum grade a 60 3rd day and thereafter a zero Labs A 50 if the lab is done but the paperwork is never turned in

We can do this! If we all work TOGETHER, we can help make your child’s 7th grade very successful and enjoyable!! PLEASE email or call anytime if you have questions or concerns throughout the school year.

Any Questions?

Thanks for coming!
