ICZ Programme Readiness Workshop 1: Storyboarding Facilitated by the Quality and Enhancement Office

(30mins) Be able to articulate how the ten ICZ principles are embedded in your programme. (1.5 – 2 hours) Have agreed any initial actions to enhance the ICZ readiness of your programme. (30mins)

The Ten ICZ Ready Principles Inclusivity Co-created Curricula and Delivery Active and Collaborative Learning Real World and Experiential Learning Digital Fluency Learner Autonomy Authentic Assessment Education for Ethical Behaviour Research Informed Curriculum Path to Professional

Activity 1: Programme Timeline (30 mins) What are the key events in the student journey through the curriculum of your programme? For Example: Induction L4: first written assessment L5: careers fair L6: group project …

Activity 2: Storyboarding Using your programme timeline, create a map of the student journey through the curriculum of your programme. (60 mins) Write examples on the notes provided. If you identify an action, add a red sticker. You can use stars to indicate your top 3 highlights.

Activity 3: Break & Sharing (30mins) What practice are you proud to share? What gaps do you have in your ICZ Principles? Take a break and some time to share with the other Storyboards in the room.

Activity 4: Review/Action Planning (30mins) Consider your storyboard and the discussion with other teams. What practice can you recommend or learn from other programmes? Formulate any actions you need as a team. What support do you need?

What happens next? Draw together your actions from the storyboard. These should be written into the Programme Action Log by the Programme Leader. As a team you need to plan how you will take your actions forward. If required, programme teams will be invited to the next workshop. Programme Leaders need to start considering the ICZ Self- review questions (in SharePoint). When completed your ADA needs to sign this off. We will email you an anonymous evaluation form tomorrow.
