convivial (adjective) welcoming/friendly fond of merry-making, feasting The convivial admissions department at the college made us feel welcome during orientation. .

Cupidity (noun) greed Larry’s cupidity cost him his marriage. He loved money more than his wife.

fecklessness (noun) uselessness Is there any need to discuss the fecklessness of a swimsuit at the North Pole?

insensate (adjective) unfeeling That woman is insensate to the feelings of others.

lecherous (adjective) lewd/dirty-minded Try not to be the one with a lecherous personality. Respect yourself and others. Respect yourself

levity (noun) lightheartedness It is always nice to add a little levity to a serious occasion.

lucre (noun) money or profits The stock market can sometimes fill your pockets with lucre.

opiate (noun) something that dulls the senses An opiate like morphine will kill pain, but will also render you insensate.
