Mrs. Howley Graphic Design 1 Crazy Crossbreeds!!! Mrs. Howley Graphic Design 1

To begin project...open up Photoshop and Create a new file: File > New

You will now look for images on the Internet You will now look for images on the Internet. You are looking for parts of animals/people/creatures etc. to be a part of your crossbreed. Things to remember: ~Make sure you are saving the full picture rather than the thumbnail image. ~Save all images to your “H-drive”

Once you have the images Once you have the images... you want to use start by opening up your background image.

Next you are going to select the image with the “Selection Tool” and “Move” the image to your canvas.

If your image is not the correct size you will need to “free transform” the picture to get it to the size you want. Press “Enter” when finished.

Continue opening up your saved images and selecting the area you want to use and “moving” the image to your canvas. Things to remember: Make sure you are using the best “selection” tool...square, ellipse, lasso tool, magnetic lasso...for your image. You can always “erase” part of the image once it is moved…make sure you are on the layer you want to erase You can rotate & change the size of your image with the “free transform” tool.

Things to concentrate on: Non-blurry images!! Clean edged pictures (eraser/lasso) Separate pics are blended well to form one “crossbreed” (blur/smudge) Background that is unique and goes well with “crossbreed” (can be realistic or ironic... a reptile-like crossbreed in a snowy environment)
