Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning Domains Bloom's Taxonomy was created in 1956 under the leadership of educational psychologist Dr Benjamin Bloom in order to promote higher forms of thinking in education, such as analyzing and evaluating, instead of just remembering facts (rote learning).

Must address Three Types of Learning 1. Cognitive: mental skills (Knowledge) 2. Affective: growth in feelings or emotional areas (Attitude or self) 3. Psychomotor: manual or physical skills (Skills) Also Modalities: 1. Auditory 2. Visual 3. Kenesthetic
