Share Examples 1. Organizational governance: Follow laws to manage and operate the business E.g. (counter example)companies such as Enron falsely report their profits on financial reports to the public and cause financial losses of shareholders (fraud) E.g. Companies not following laws:

Share Examples 2. Labor practices: Treat employees responsibly and fairly E.g. Google (silicon valley, California) builds creative working space for workers. For example, they build sleeping boxes on walls. They also provide a creative game center for employees. Walmart provides low wages for employees. ($7.5 minimum wage/hour) E.g Microsoft is providing a comfortable working environemnt for examples. (e.g. shorter working hours)

Share Examples 3. Environment: Reduce impacts on environment and help save environment in and out of production process E.g. Tesla motors uses electric cars and reduce emissions of carbon and toxic substances. Hybrid cars (Toyota, Mercedez-benz, letv) E.g. Starbucks: C.A.F.E, practice guidelines, sustainable sourcing, process coffee (organic farms) E.g. Starbucks: use your own cup/mugs to purchase coffee products, you will get discount. Using recycled fiber in paper cups; E.g. bookstore uses paper bags to replace plastic bags E.g. Ant Forest app, on Alipay (alibaba), grow own tree, reach certain energy level, a real tree will be planted for you in reality.

Share Examples 4. Consumer issues: behave responsibly to customers, products and services E.g. Nissan- create a F1 (one of fixing rate) group to handle customers’ complaints

Share Examples 5. Community involvement and development: build relationship with local communities and create projects to benefit the community. E.g. Walmart donates up to 97 million RMB to children organizations (e.g. association of childhood obesity) Tom’s shoes, donate a pair of shoes to needed children for every pair sold Chairty work (help children, women, people in need)

Share Examples 6. *Fair operating practices: A company presents strong leadership and healthy working environment when healthy employee competition is promoted, and innovation is encouraged to help improve business performance E.g. Hitachi adheres to laws and regulations and promote the compliance of all employees in business activities, including procurement, manufacture, sales, export, and taxation. Following laws/ healthy working environemnt/ providing benefits/ research + development

Share Examples 7. *Human rights: use its influence to respect and support human rights, and thus encourage respect for human rights to spread through their organizational supply chains and local communities E.g. Microsoft has strived to increase online safety and promote freedom of expression and privacy. Safety, speech rights, treat ppl equally
