2016 SATs Changes more rigorous abolition of levels new grading system- scaled score range of scaled score:80 to 120 expected standard 100 Two Maths papers, two Reading papers GPS paper non-statutory Writing- Teacher assessment over time 2016 saw the abolition of Levels and the first test based on the new curriculum. More rigorous- changes to the Maths paper, quick recall, no calculators New marking and grading system- tests are both set and marked externally teacher assessment-Writing
Expected standard 100 over the two tests Reading 21/50 Grammar 50/70 Maths 60/110
Sample Questions Arithmetic Reading test 1hour to read booklet and answer 33 questions , long answers, one /two words, selected answers. This question assesses understanding of modal verbs to indicate degrees of possibility. 45 mins to answer 46 questions 2700/46 approx 58 sec per question
Paper 2 Reasoning- 1mark question
2 mark question Tests knowledge of fractions, X and subtraction
