Patagonia, the Bariloche area Patagonia, the Bariloche area. The landscape here resembles Europe Alps lake country.

As it is known today, Bariloche became a refuge to a community of Nazi war criminals escaping Europe at the end of World War II. (Some of the most senior ones landed on the shores of Patagonia by an organized convoy of German submarines.) They were supported explicitly and actively by the president, Juan Perón. The small city of Bariloche, on the lake : Town hall and community center. The architecture here resembles that of the Europe Alps as much as the landscape do, supposedly affected by the background of immigrants that chose the place to be their new home.

In this Bariloche town hall, the notorious Dr In this Bariloche town hall, the notorious Dr. Josef Mengele of the Auschwitz extermination camp had his 2 tests for a driving license. The tester who recognized him at the time is retired today.

The Bariloche area, on the lake, the village of Villa La Angostura.

By the location of this house, it may be one of the two sites in the Bariloche area that were prepared at the time as refuge for Adolf Hitler himself! In this house, Isabel Perón the 3rd wife of Juan Perón who became Argentina’s president upon his death lived in captivity after a military coup.
