Embedding Regional ESIF 2014-2020 programs that potentially could support projects consistent with the EUSALP : 41 Programs (+ those more specific of CB and TN cooperation + National and Sectorial Programmes). Most of the Regions belonging to the Alpine macro- region are mostly classified as "more developed" and therefore subjected to some obligations of thematic concentration, besides reduced co-financing.

Embedding Programs co-financed by ESI Funds in the EUSALP area are «regional» for Italy, France and Germany and «national» for Austria and Slovenia. They can be single-fund ( the majority ) or multi-fund (ERDF + ESF in France and Slovenia ) with a national /regional co-found level which varies from 25 to more than 50% according to the type of territory concerned: in transition - as part Austrian territory and French , less developed - as part of the Slovenian territory , more developed - as most of the territories in question. There are also the cross-border cooperation programs , which are implemented in border areas and transnational cooperation programs, including the " Alpine Space " .
