Agenda Welcome to your Mavs1000 class Get to know each other Syllabus review Goals of the Course Maverick Stampede Announcements/Questions Ice breaker game – give name, where you’re from, what’s your major, and one thing you’re excited about experiencing in college

Syllabus Review Required course Cannot miss more than 2 classes 10 points for missed 5 points for being late Blackboard Grading In Class Assignment Campus Event Student Organization Investigation Academic Advising Faculty Meeting Respect class time Campus Resources This is a pass/fail course. It will not affect your final gpa or graduation…however it does speak to your commitment level of taking college seriously If you miss more than 2 classes you are required to meet with me to discuss if there is an option to make up the absence Everyone starts with 100 for attendance – this can only go down, not up, any make-up work given will be graded at a percentage starting no higher than 80% You can find course assignments and due dates on Blackboard Class participation includes attendance and in class assignments at 60% of the grade Out of class assignments totaling three campus events and course assignments will total 40% of the grade
