Gap Analysis between Current Skills and Future Needs 5 Vision of the Future Structures and Key Roles Competencies for Key Roles Assessment of Current Bench Strength – Talent Review Gap Analysis between Current Skills and Future Needs Gap Resolution – Develop, Retain, Acquire Sustainability & Successes Processes and Tools Workforce Planning Process Talent Review steps Goal Setting This slide is a reminder of what was presented in January 2015. What is shown below is the script from the January presentation. Please use the next slide for your new content and script. *************************************************************** Once the current situation is clear, the existing competencies and skills can be mapped to what’s needed in the future. Will you be able to achieve your strategic objectives with your existing talent and their skills? What goals need to be established to acquire new talent or develop existing? The gap analysis process is a detailed comparison of the skills/competency ability of those currently in position and those that will be needed to achieve the organizational abilities going forward.

Step 5: Gap Analysis Completing the Gap Analysis Building on the earlier steps of process, identify what skills and competencies are necessary to achieve future goals. Based on Talent Review who within the organization, has some level of mastery of the skill or competency. --what is the level of mastery, i.e. expert, proficient or knowledgeable Is it realistic to develop the existing skills to the next level? --is there someone willing --is there someone capable? --is there sufficient time to develop the ability --can you rotate someone into the role Is there a need for an external resource? Based on assessment of above, what are the specific goals and next steps
