Wisdom – Will – Worth— Part II Colossians 1:9-14 Paul’s prayer for the Colossian faith community communicates assurance that ministry is being accomplished within the will of God, with wisdom because of their worth as a people made in the image of God.

There are four major movements in this letter: I. Colossians 1:1-23 – Jesus the Savior – His supremacy. II. Colossians 1:24-2:5 – Paul – The suffering, sold out apostle. III. Colossians 2:6 – 2:23 – The external pressures that were tempting the church to lose their way. IV. Colossians 3 & 4 – The New Way of life.

That we are saved (1 Tim 2:4; 2 Pet 3:9) God’s Will & Wisdom – Colossians 1:9 God’s will: That we are saved (1 Tim 2:4; 2 Pet 3:9) Be filled with the Spirit (Eph 5:17,18) To be Holy (1 Pet 1:15; 1 Thess 4:3) Be submissive (1 Pet 2:13,15) Suffer for doing good (1 Pet 4:19) Give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thess 5:17)
