Approach Configure O365 and Run Dir Sync using Azure Connect Assign License to newly created O365 Users Run CreateCloudSSA.ps1 to create Cloud Search Application Check Search Result in Online Search Center Add Content source to the Cloud SSA and start Full Crawling Run Onboard CloudHybridSearch.ps1 PowerShell script to provision cloud SSA and Office 365 tenant to cloud hybrid search Note: a. Need to do Alternate access mapping and Server Mapping in Cloud Search Application. b. CreateCloudSSA.ps1 and CloudHybridSearch.ps1 can be downloaded from Microsoft site. c. Approach Create Result Source in Cloud SSA (On-Premises) A. Select Remote Share Point Server B. Select Default Authentication Go to Search Center and Configure Search Web Part. Select Result Source Created in previous step Note: The person configuring this search should have access/admin to both environment( Cloud & On-Premises)

Approach Configure Office O365 for SharePoint Hybrid Sign up for Office 365. Register domain with Office 365. Assign UPN domain suffixes. Synchronize accounts with Office 365. Assign licenses to users. Setup On-Premises Services Managed Metadata service application User Profile Service application My Sites Configure server-to-server authentication between SharePoint Server 2013 and Office 365 Verify web application (NTML / Widows Authentication) OAuth over HTTP (if it is required) Set up server-to-server authentication among: SharePoint Server 2013,SharePoint Online And Azure Active Directory Install online service management tools and configure the Windows PowerShell window Replace default STS Certificate Update settings of the SharePoint security token service (STS) identity provider Configure server-to-server (S2S) authentication Validation Configure Search service application to display search results from Office 365 Reference: For full steps follow https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn607305.aspx
