Freshman Academy Parent information meeting How to help your student navigate through high school

BCCHS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS A grade of D or better is considered passing. Students will earn 5 credits for each class he/she passes. Students will earn 0 credits for any class that he/she fails.

A-G Requirements To apply to college and satisfy the A-G Requirements, students must earn a grade of C or better. Colleges do not accept D’s or F’s. It is recommended that students take more than the minimum A-G requirements to become academically competitive.

Resources AERIES- Portal that allows you to access your student’s grades, attendance and overall record. Must complete an application and have an email address. BILY- Parent/student support group that focuses on families with issues involving negative attitude, drugs, run-aways, physical/emotional abuse, and poor grades/attendance. BILY meets every Tuesday from 7:00:9:30 PM in the Library. TUTORING- Peer tutoring available every morning before school in the Library. More tutoring options will be available October 16.
