Presentation transcript:

The Very Hungry Caterpillar This presentation would be fantastic with narration added but makes the file size very large, so would take too long to download from the internet. However if you want to record your own voice reading the story it is very easy. Click Slide Show at the top of the screen, then Record Narration. It will ask you to test the microphone, then you just run the show reading it as you go into the microphone. At the end of the presentation you can choose whether to save the timings as well as your voice – this means the children will not have to click on the green arrow to move to the next screen. If you want the children to click, say no.Remember to save the presentation when you have done this ! By Eric Carle

In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf

One Sunday morning the warm sun came up

And pop! out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar

He started to look for some food

But he was still hungry! On Monday he ate through one apple 1

On Tuesday he ate through two pears But he was still hungry! 2

On Wednesday he ate through three plums But he was still hungry! 3

through four strawberries On Thursday he ate through four strawberries But he was still hungry! 4

On Friday he ate through five oranges But he was still hungry! 5

One piece of chocolate cake On Saturday he ate through One piece of chocolate cake One ice cream cone

One pickle One lollipop One slice of Swiss cheese One slice of cherry pie One slice of salami One sausage

One cupcake That night he had a stomach ache! And one slice of watermelon

The next day was Sunday again The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better

He was a big fat caterpillar. Now he wasn’t hungry any more – and he wasn’t a little caterpillar any more.

He stayed inside for more than two weeks He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself.

Then he nibbled a little hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and …

He was a beautiful butterfly!
