Summer 1 2018 Communication & Language Literacy Jack and the Beanstalk *Retell the story with props and pictures. *Character descriptions of the giant and Jack *Writing own versions of the story- beginning, middle and end. The Very Hungry Caterpillar *Sequence the story *Retell the story using pictures and props *Write own version of the story. The Ugly Duckling *Use pictures to retell the story. Sequence the beginning, middle and end of the story. ROLE PLAY- Jack and the Beanstalk cottage, minibeast investigation, garden centre. Mathematics *Pairs of numbers that equal 10. *Sharing/dividing- sharing between Jack and the giant. *Count in 10s *Counting in 5s. *Subtraction- The Hungry Caterpillar eating pieces of fruit. *Using money to buy in our garden centre.
