IEEE 802.20 Interference Environment Informative addendum to contribution C802.20-04-64 Dan Gal Berlin, September 14, 2004

Interference Environment The signal at the input of the receiver consists of signals received from: The wanted transmitter at the wanted channel Transmitters operating in the same channel (co-channel signals) Leakage power from adjacent channels (generated by the co-tower/antenna transmitters and other nearby towers) Transmitters operating in second-adjacent channels (generating blocking signals) Other external RF interference sources Non-linear and spurious transmission products IEEE 802.20 Contribution # C802.20-04-64addendum 2
