YOU NEED TO DO AN ESSAY ON AS MANY TOPICS AS YOU CAN!!!! How do you prepare? YOU NEED TO DO AN ESSAY ON AS MANY TOPICS AS YOU CAN!!!!

QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD DO… CHARACTERS How do the playwrights use character to reflect the time period of the play? To what extent do the characters undergo a journey in the plays? How do characters contribute to meaning in the plays?

STRUCTURE Discuss how openings or endings contribute to meaning in two plays you have studied. Discuss how conflict within the play supports the playwrights message. How do entrances and exits support the author’s contention? How does the treatment of time impact on the messages within the plays? How have the playwrights used suspense within their plays?

SETTING How does the setting act as a microcosm for society? How does the setting reveal aspects of character? To what extent do the playwrights use literary features to enhance their story?
