Presentation transcript:

The Launch! Use this presentation to launch your fundraising for this year’s Big BBC Children in Need Spotacular with pupils aged 7 to 11. Why not deliver it to individual classes, or as a key stage, level or whole-school assembly? (It will be fine for younger children too.) Whatever approach you take, make it interactive and inspiring. Get the pupils fired up about the fun and fundraising to come! Why not ask some of your pupils to deliver the presentation? It would be a great way for them to develop confidence, teamwork and communication skills.

Pudsey Bear Is Back! Who knows which charity he is the mascot for?

It’s BBC Children In Need! And this year we’re going spotty to try to raise more money than ever before!

We could take part in a sponsored challenge? What Shall We Do? Use the next four slides to share your plans for fundraising activities, e.g. a sponsored spot challenge, dressing up in spots, a spotty cake sale. If you’re not planning to do a particular type of activity, just delete the slide. Can the pupils think of other ideas? Get them engaged and excited. Help the pupils to understand how they can raise money by collecting sponsorship. We could take part in a sponsored challenge?

Three Steps to a Spotacular Challenge! Use this slide as a thought starter to help pupils come up with ideas for sponsored spot challenges. For example, ‘Choose a move’ could be skipping, ‘Pick a twist’ could be that you do it in fancy dress or all together as a class, ‘Line up those sponsors!’ could involve spreading the word to family and friends via the school’s BT MyDonate page.

What Shall We Do? What Shall We Do? We could dress up in spots. ((Photo of primary children dressed up)) We could dress up in spots. We could dress up in spots!

We could make or buy spotty things to sell. What Shall We Do? We could make or buy spotty things to sell.

Why Are We Raising Money? Video clip (Click image to play video) ((link to “why get involved” video on YouTube, with play button)) After watching the video, talk with the pupils about how they feel about being able to help other children across the UK. http://bit.ly/2cxFy65

Together We Can Change Lives! Let’s make it a BBC Children in Need to remember!
