Nagios 3.0 Your Company Name

Long-term Goal Monitor hosts and systems within the enterprise regardless of operating system. Automatic generation of warnings and problems directly to concerned groups. Encompass Computer Room and Store hosts and services. Identification and regeneration of errored processes through the Nagios 3.0 System.

Customer Wishes Do not create additional cost center for system monitoring and notifications. Product deployment on existing hardware and software. Rapid response to business concerns, so as to minimize host and service downtime resulting in lost revenue.

Fulfilling Customer Needs Nagios 3.0 is scalable to Burlington Coat Factory's large enterprise. Software can be deployed, configured and augmented by existing staff and hardware. Contact groups can be configured and expanded, so as to provide automatic notification to concerned groups at the outset of a potential problem.

Cost Analysis Nagios 3.0 only requires additional labor hours by existing staff. Tivoli requires a $1,000,000 capital investment for both licensing and support. Other system monitoring software require additional cost centers. Configuration and deployment of ALL system monitoring tools will require the same amount of labor hours to tailor the software to our enterprise.

Strengths and Advantages No additional cost centers. Scalability without increased licensing costs. Staffing requirements currently exist within the enterprise. Every group within the enterprise has the ability to configure objects to produce required monitoring.

Next Steps of Action Phase 1 has been completed and we are now able to monitor all our hosts and file sizes within the enterprise. Build a test server. Build another Nagios 3.0 server for store monitoring and notifications.
