PRIOS III. To Make The Baltic Sea Region An Accessible And Attractive Place 12. EDUCATION - HAMBURG, TOURISM, HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELL BEING/SOCIAL DIMENSION – NDPHS ”...health and social well-being will need to be linked with targets concerning employment, innovation, poverty and social exclusion”

SOCIAL DIMENSION ESF ESF SWEDEN LONG TERM SICK LEAVE, POOR HEALTH, WORK RELATED HEALTH, WORKING CONDITIONS, LLL DISADVANTAGED GROUPS, DISABLED COMBATING POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION ACTIVE AGEING (EUROPEAN YEAR 2012) – DEMOGRAPHY

BSN – ESF OBJECTIVES Common understanding of the role of ESF in relation to the EUSBSR among MAs concerned; Develop and consolidate the network between the MAs for identifying policy gaps, exchange of good practices and cooperation in a wider sense in the frame of the ESF; Facilitate and strengthen the transnational cooperation between projects in the ESF in the Baltic Sea region; Enhance the cooperation between the MSs in the Baltic Sea Region in relation to the ESF

BSN – ESF OBJECTIVES Considering the new programming period (post 2013), develop and prepare a knowledge base for ESF interventions linked to the EUSBSR with the aim of strengthening the social dimension in the EUSBSR

ACTIVITIES MAPPING EXERCISES: FUTURE ACTIONS: Projects with BSR-dimension Operational programmes ESF Flanking programmes Potential links/common prios ESF – EUSBSR Action plan (eg. NDPHS, SMEs, education) FUTURE ACTIONS: Common framework TNC for Baltic Sea MSs ESF Coordinated calls for proposals Partner search forums Monitoring, evaluations etc

ACTIVITIES Organizing four regular meetings within the network Organizing three partner search forums Organizing at least eight information seminars on transnational cooperation in the ESF, linked to the Baltic Sea region strategy for project promotors in Sweden and MSs (Interact) Participation from Sweden (projects and/or stakeholders) in at least one seminar in each MS in the region, focusing the link between ESF - EUSBSR Major conference Working Life in Stockholm in October 2011 – TNC and BSR

ACTIVITIES Establishment of as a minimum 30 partnerships between projects in Sweden and other MSs in the Baltic Sea Region Establishment of a network between the central government agencies concerned, eventually including other relevant organizations, NGO:s and social partners Development of a common information, communication and dissemination platform Organization of final conference in 2012

CONCLUSIONS STRENGHTEN THE SOCIAL DIMENSION IN EUSBSR... ....USING THE ESF... ...AND IMPROVE TNC IN BALTIC SEA REGION AWARENESS AND KNOWLEDGE EUSBSR PROJECT PROMOTORS AND STAKEHOLDERS SPECIAL PRIO BALTIC MSs OPEN TO NEW PROGRAMMES AND INITIATIVES REFER TO AND DEVELOP GEOGRAPHICAL AND HISTORICAL LINKS IN BALTIC SEA REGION
