Our solar system is made up of the sun and eight planets. Insert a picture of our solar system

The sun is at the center of our solar system. The sun is made up of gases, hydrogen, helium, and carbon dioxide.

Mercury Mercury orbits the sun in about 88 Earth days but takes 58 Earth days to rotate once.

Venus Venus is the hottest planet on the solar system.

Earth The Earths surface area is 197 million square miles.

Mars Mars has the largest canyon in the solar system.

Jupiter Jupiter takes about 12 years to orbit the sun and rotates in about 10 hours.

Saturn Saturn is the next biggest planet in the solar system.

Uranus Uranus is the only called by a Greek name rather than a Roman name.
