Femicide is the killing of women by men, because they are women It is estimated that across the world, approximately 66,000 women and girls are violently killed every year The Femicide Census was created by Karen Ingala Smith and Women’s Aid, with support from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Deloitte Our first report Femicide Census: Redefining an Isolated Incident was published in December 2016
