Entertainment In World War Two (Part Two ) Extra information

What other games were played during World War Two? Different games were played during World War Two such as Blow Football, Tiddlywinks, Marbles, Musical Statues ( The music was quiet so that only people inside the house could hear it, but people outside couldn’t) and they also played Red Light, Green Light.

What did children play outside during the day? Children played tag a lot during the day and sometimes pretended they were at war, using sticks for guns and conkers, acorns and nuts as bombs.

What did children listen to on the radio? Children listened to Children’s Hour on the radio. It was on everyday at 4 till 5pm. It included children’s songs and fun game ideas to play the later in the week.

What is Blow Football? Blow Football was a game played in World War Two by Children and Adults. The game was popular because it provided hours of fun during the rough times.
