My name is _______________and I am the _______________here at HomeTown Health and HomeTown Health University, and it’s my pleasure to welcome each of you this month.

All attendees are in listen only mode. Just a few housekeeping items before we get started here. I will be monitoring the questions and answer pane today– everyone will be in listen only mode and muted, but we encourage you to submit your questions and comments in the Questions pane located on your dashboard so we can be sure to address each of those. If you do not see your dashboard, look for a little red/orange arrow on your screen and click that to expand or open your dashboard.

Medicaid MU Workshops Health IT is hosting free Meaningful Use Workshops across the state to provide up-to-date information and one-on-one assistance to providers participating in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. Health IT, along with its partners (DXC Technology, GaHIN, GAHITEC and Myers and Stauffer), will discuss new changes occurring within the program, including an overview of MU objectives and measures, audit preparedness, HIE resources and more. Registration is required. 

Medicaid MU Workshops

Coming in July… In addition to our wonderful speaker lineup, we have asked Kate Pfirman, Deputy Commissioner of Georgia Department of Community Health, to join us in July! Kate will be discussing Administrative Simplification with us. Kate Pfirman has been with the state over 20 years and is now a Deputy Commissioner of DCH. She served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Public Health and has held a variety of roles including Division Director at the Governor's Office of Planning (OPB), and Deputy Commissioner at the Department of Human Resources (DHR). Pfirman received her Bachelor's degree in economics from Emory University and her Master's degree in accounting from The American University in Washington, D.C. In addition to our wonderful speaker lineup, we have asked Kate Pfirman, Deputy Commissioner of Georgia Department of Community Health, to join us in June! Kate will be discussing Administrative Simplification (work group, priorities, initiative, core functions, projects, topics under discussion, and so much more!). You can see her bio here on the screen and we encourage you to join us again for the June 6th Medicaid webinar for this and all of our CMO discussions.
