Emergency Management Update TPAC Meeting August 9, 2018 Emergency Management Update

Emergency Management Training Staff completed Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) National Emergency Management Advanced Academy Staff completed local and state certified emergency training: Incident Command System, Emergency Operation Center, and Agency Representative Conducted a Government Emergency Telecommunication Service training session

Emergency Management Planning Updated the agency’s Emergency Operations Plan and Severe Weather Annex Developed performance standards to track emergency management progress Staff participated in two Southern California Catastrophic Earthquake Plan workshops with local, region, state, and federal partners

Emergency Management Meetings Access hosted TransMAC meeting. Staff provided valuable paratransit insight at the Silver Jackets Army Corp of Engineers exercise discussing the potential flooding of the Whittier Narrows Dam and Los Angeles River Staff provided an emergency preparedness update at all six of the Community Meetings

Emergency Incidents Responded to Incidents July 7, 2018, Los Angeles Emergency Management Department requested Access’ assistance to evacuate and transport 11 disabled residents from the Rehabilitation Centre of Beverly Hills due to power outage Developed an After Action report to evaluate Access’ response Monitored Incidents and Events Wild and brush fires Excessive heat warning areas
