Football Fans in Training Who? Men who were overweight or obese What? Healthy living and weight loss programme Where? Professional football clubs http://dev.ffit.org.uk/

FFIT trial No Bellies Get fit, lose your belly and get behind the scenes at your local club, all for free. The Football Fans in Training (FFIT) programme is a healthy living and weight loss programme that was carefully designed to appeal to men, which has been developed and successfully evaluated in a major research project led by the University of Glasgow. It was developed to include the latest scientific approaches to weight loss, physical activity and diet. FFIT is delivered by community coaches at Scotland’s top professional football clubs to groups of men aged 35-65 who are obese, or at high risk of becoming obese. Men attend 12 weekly sessions at their local club to learn useful skills and techniques to help them improve their levels of physical activity and diet. Each meeting involves time in the classroom and also a training session with the coaches. Once the 12 sessions end, the men receive regular reminder emails and attend a reunion session at the club 9 months after they began FFIT.

Group exercise – 20mins We would like you to split up into groups of 6 people There are copies of PRECIS-2 toolkit and the Lancet paper FFIT for each person. Also usb stick if some people want to use their laptop Focus on 3 PRECIS-2 domains and complete the table for your group with score and rationale
