Project 8: Internet of Hospital Things (IoHT): Communication to Facilitate Healing REU Student: Kiran Pandit Graduate mentors: Myungho Lee, Kangsoo Kim, Ryan Schubert Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Greg Welch and Dr. Yier Jin Week 1 (May 23 – May 27, 2016) Accomplishments: Researched existing hospital IoT devices available on the market Read 6 research papers about localization and sensor networks Decided on specifications of IoT device Purpose is indoor localization Collects data through many sensors and interacts with its environment Machine learning component through sensor data Ordered components for device Arduino, wifi module, sensors, etc Meeting at Director of Clinical Device Integration at Florida Hospital to identify current uses and needs of IoT devices
