Poetry Study-Guide Questions Find two ways that the poet STRUCTURED this poem. Find two examples of figurative language. What is the point-of-view? From whose perspective do we read this poem? Describe the meaning of the poem in your own words. What type of poem is this? How do you know? What is the theme of this poem? Find two quotations to support your response.

On-the-spot Poet Based on the theme of this poem, write your own poem. You may use the same type of poetry as the sample, or you many choose to explore another style. an image that symbolically represent the first half of the poem Note: You will have to write a poem on-the-spot as part of your level test in March.
