Capitalism A system where people own everything. There is a wide disparity (gap) between the rich and poor. Capitalism (system) Capitalist (adjective describing…) The United States is a capitalist country because people have different standards of living.

Communism

Communism A system where the government owns everything so the people can have the same standard of living. Communism (system) Communist (adjective describing, label…) The Soviet Union was initially a communist country because everyone had the same the things.

Population Growth 1990s 1980s 1970s 1960s 1950s

Population Growth is how fast a country is growing over time. Too Fast: too many children to take care of, hard to provide education, strain on resources, etc… Too Slow: too many old people, not enough people working, not enough people giving the government money
