Mission Statement Serve as a customer-focused information center for research, training and technical assistance related to school safety, crisis prevention and response to work effectively and efficiently with federal, state, local and community-based organizations with the ultimate goal of safer schools in North Carolina. Major Accomplishments Critical Incident Response for School Faculty and Staff Replaces the video produced back in 1999 Gives teachers and staff more options to deal or respond to an critical incident Establishes Consistency throughout the state in response Currently ALL 115 LEAs in ALL 100 counties have been trained 11/18/2018

Major Accomplishments Anonymous Student Tip Application Allows Students to ANONYMOUSLY send tips about bullying, fights, drugs, weapons Allows the tips to be routed within the school (principal, SRO, school counselor) Piloting the program now in Avery, Forsyth, Johnston, Lenoir and Macon County 11/18/2018
