Splendid gothic architecture of Henry VII Chapel built to house magnificent tomb by Pietro Torrigiano. Richard III = lasting Tudor propaganda, like the history of his reign he paid Polydore Vergil to write. Richmond Palace – rebuilt after fire destroyed Sheen (1497). Tudor rose = uniting of York and Lancaster Gold sovereign commissioned by Henry VII before 1492 invasion of France - coat of arms includes French fleur de lys - to pressure Charles VIII into a favourable settlement.
