Why Electric…? Pushing forces for change Resisting forces of change Running costs are more cost effective Battery range suitability Better for the environment Time taken to charge Maintenance is more cost effective Charging posts – cost and locations Safety improvements vs fuel vans The sale of Diesel and Petrol vehicles will stop by 2040. Increasing numbers of cities, including Nottingham and London will have Clean Air Zones, restricting options for vehicle delivery. There is a rapidly increasing availability of low emission vehicles and development of technology. This is driven by both the international legislation and vehicle manufacturers own commitments, such as Volvo pledging all new cars to be electric or hybrid from 2019. Suitable infrastructure and vehicles for our Fleet
