8 FRQ Assignment Super fun practice!!

Goal: Pass AP Exam Most my of students: Score a 3 or better on the Multiple Choice section Mock: _80 - 85%___ pass rate Remember: 55% = 3 65% = 4 75% = 5 BUT lose points on the FRQs Reducing my actual student pass rate to 70% 

Goal: Pass AP Exam So important part of preparing for AP Exam So…FRQs are Key to passing!!!!!! National readers Grade hard No ½ points National avg = 5/10 points Which is enough to get a 3 So important part of preparing for AP Exam practicing FRQs

Practicing FRQs Packet of 8 Released FRQs Covering topics from our 9 units Goal Complete 1 per night - ish Due 2 weeks All due: Mon - 4/30th

Practicing FRQs First try to answer on your own Then go to College Board website Link on my website Scroll down to find year of FRQ 1) Click on “ Sample Responses” for the correct Question #

1) Scoring Guidelines The 1st thing you will see is the Grading Rubric Check your answer Read all answers listed Reminds you of all possible answers Give you good verbiage / ideas for future answers on AP Exam Correct your answer, if needed

2) Sample Reponses Second, Scroll down past rubric You will find 3 example answers Actual answers given by students Read through all 3 samples See what a good answer looks like Not necessarily long… Just needs to accurately answer the question MUST be in complete sentences!!!
