Chapter 1 O Maycomb, some twenty miles east of Finchs Landing O They ambled across the square, shuffled in and out of the stores around it O our summertime boundaries were Mrs. Henry Lafayette Duboses house two doors to the north of us, and the Radley Place three doors to the south. O our treehouse rested between giant twin chinaberry trees in the back yard O The Maycomb schools grounds adjoined the back of the Radley lot; from the Radley chickenyard tall pecan trees shook their fruit into the schoolyard.
Chapter 2 O The treehouse, looking over at the schoolyard O She [Miss Caroline] boarded across the street one door down from us in Miss Maudie Atkinsons upstairs front room.
Chapter 4 O two live oaks stood at the edge of the Radley lot; their roots reached out into the side-road and made it bumpy O Cecil Jacobs, who lived at the far end of our street next door to the post office, walked a total of one mile per school day to avoid the Radley Place and old Mrs. Henry Lafayette Dubose. Mrs. Dubose lived two doors up the street from us
