MAY 2018 EVERY CHILD IS SAFE ON EVERY RIDE EVERY DAY! CHAPTER NOTES MAY 2018 EVERY CHILD IS SAFE ON EVERY RIDE EVERY DAY!

MAY FLOWERS? The snowy and frigid final days of April remind us that nothing can be taken for granted. How apropos for school transportation! Nothing is ever really routine. Bad Weather. Accidents & Traffic. Driver absences. Student and parent concerns. Those symbolize our “April rain”. And we adapt. We use the skills and knowledge we have acquired at conferences, at chapter meetings, over coffee with colleagues. We go into problem-solving mode. It’s what we do! That leads to our “May flowers”: safely transporting 2.3 million children despite the odds. It’s May and the end of the regular school year is around the corner. Be careful and take time to check and re-check. June will be here soon!
