Responsibilities of the Student Keep up with your laptop and be sure it is charged each day Keep up with a Portfolio (binder) with all things done in class Make-up work or notes that you miss CONSISTENTLY check Blackboard to be up to date Come to tutoring if you want or need clarification on notes/work

Student Expectations Be prepared Respect yourself, others, and your environment Do things the first time you are asked You are FREE to choose, yet you are NOT FREE from the CONSEQUENCE of your choice.

Tutoring Times Any morning but Thursday Any afternoon by appointment I arrive by 7 each morning Coach can be here by 6:45 (by appointment) Any afternoon by appointment If you have questions or need to work on something my door is open

Grading Daily (formative): 40% Major Grades (summative): 60% Class Work Open Note Quizzes Homework Major Grades (summative): 60% Tests/District Benchmark 2-3 per six weeks

Late Work Policy If you do not turn in an assignment on time “0” will be put into the grade book until it is turned in. If you are absent you will be given sufficient time to make it up “0” will be put in the grade book if not turned in. Klein Collins Grading Guidelines: 1 day late = 25% off 2 days late = 50% off 3 or more is a “0”

Course Overview This course covers the history of mankind from its inception through the late 20th century 1st Semester: Dawn of mankind through European exploration to Asia, Africa & the Americas 2nd Semester: European colonization through the 20th century
