Chapter 8: The World at War By Salina Sanders and Victoria Thompson Rules: Once you miss a question, you are out for the remainder of the game. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.

Round 1: Questions 50 points each Lend-Lease allowed the US to send supplies and aid to any nation whose defense was important to the national security of the US. The country would pay after the war, and Roosevelt felt it was necessary to save England and the US.

Round 1: Questions 50 points each The US got involved in World War II after Pearl Harbor, because they felt the Japanese had gone too far. They were fighting against the Axis powers: Germany, Italy and Japan.

Round 4: Questions 500 points each The youngest member of the State legistlature, the youngest governor of Georgia, and the youngest member of the US Senate when he was elected in 1933. He was a great supporter of the New Deal program, and served on the Senate Naval Affairs Committee and eventually became chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He often visited the troops and was the first to argue that the US needed military bases in foreign territories.

He was credited with giving the US the ability to win in the Pacific
