Quickwrite 3.3 Mark Twain’s “Corn-Pone Opinions” represents a “Classic Essay,” meaning that is representative of a time period that is not modern. In what ways would we (21st-Century readers) have to approach Twain’s work differently than some other modern works we’ve read? In detail, explain your answer.

“Corn-Pone Opinions” Read Twain’s essay. Using a dialectical journal, annotation, or other graphic organizer, analyze Twain’s essay. In pairs or trios, work together to come to some conclusions about Twain’s style, rhetoric, and meaning. Be prepared to present your findings during class on Wednesday.
