What is the Smart School Bond Act? Passed in 2014 by New York State Voters Issuance of $2 billion in bonds in support of developing schools of tomorrow Brasher Falls CSD allocated $1,267, 379 in Smart Schools reimbursement funds Reimbursement program, NOT a grant

Steps in the Smart School Process Evaluate need and craft vision Solicit quotes from vendors Select vendors Submit district technology plan to NYSED Develop Smart Schools Investment Plan Hold public hearing on the SSIP 2 Post SSIP 2 on the district webpage for 30 days Public response to the proposed plan BOE approves the plan Final plan posted to the district’s website SSIP 2 submitted to NYSED via the state portal

How do We Look to Utilize This Opportunity for Security Access Control - Plan for 24 Doors Current System is 15 years old and cannot be expanded. Software Upgrade to access up to 128 IP Cameras Sound Replacement Clock System Code Blue lockdown and Panic Update Rack Systems holding our Equipment

Network Infrastructure Approximate Amount: $131,000 Intended Vendor: Alltech Implementation: This part of the project will allow us to have complete review of the facility with cameras and door access. We will also be able to lockdown the three buildings in an instant in case of an emergency, including sound and automatic door locks.

Software Integration with SMART SCHOOLS The Door access system will be tied to the cameras and as a keycard accesses the building the camera system will snap a picture.
