ORPHAN - a child who has lost both parents through death

There are 2 ½ MILLION orphans in Afghanistan and Iraq RIGHT NOW

Take the number of South students and multiply by 2941… that is the approximate number of kids without parents OR, think about this… In 2009 there were 2,784,572 people in the state of Utah. Imagine almost the entire state as orphans!!

CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE THAT MANY KIDS?

A typical Iraqi classroom has concrete walls, no carpet, worn-out desks, no chalkboard or chalk

Most days, they do not have their basic needs met

Let’s change that…

OPERATION GIVE

“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” -H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

“I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy, I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy” -Mother Theresa

We are sending smiles and hope, one gift at a time You CAN make a difference!

We will be collecting donations from now until April 29th

We need school supplies *unsharpened pencils *notebooks *rulers

Hygiene supplies *bars of soap *combs *toothbrushes *toothpaste

And clean toys that don’t use batteries

Take items to our donation stations located at both front entrances and put them in the boxes.

And feel good knowing that you’ve made a change!
