Theories of Motivation Instinct Theory: Fixed action patterns. Drive Theory: Organisms seek homeostasis Freud’s Psychodynamic Theory. In the Id there are two basic desires. Eros Thanatos

Achievement Motivation A psychological motive. Measure achievement motivation using the TAT (Thematic Apperception Test). Need for achievement is the desire to attain a difficult, but desired, goal (n Ach).
