Lynx and Hare Lab-Day 2 Finish your generation counts— up to at least 16 generations. ESTIMATE the rest of the 25 generations based on the past patterns. GRAPH your data with your team and answer the conclusion questions.

CONCLUSIONS: Answer on the back of your graph. Why are there almost always more hares than lynx? How do the changes of the lynx populations relate to the changes in the hare population. What would happen to the hare population if the lynx were completely removed? What effects might this change have on the ecosystem? What would happen to the lynx population if the hares were completely removed? What effect would this change have on the ecosystem?  In what 2 ways are the presence of the lynx beneficial to the population of hares? BONUS (up to 5 points): Research the Canada Lynx online. Write 2-3 paragraphs about its behavior, habitat, diet, reproduction and status. Does it live in Montana? How is it being monitored and protected? CITE YOUR SOURCES IN MLA FORMAT.
