Assessment for learning التقييم من أجل التعلم

Goals for this session, to know; أهداف هذا اللقاء أن نعرف: What is assessment? ماذا نعني بعملية التقييم؟ For what do we use assessment فيم يستخدم التقييم؟ Different types of assessment. أنواع التقييم المختلفة. How could we apply this in our classes. كيف نطبق ذلك في صفوفنا؟

The word “Assess” كلمة ”يقيم“ Comes from the Latin verb “assidere” meaning “to sit with”. In assessment a teacher is supposed to sit with the learner meaning it is something we do with and for students and not something we do to students. جاءت الكلمة من الفعل اللاتينى ”يقيم“ بمعنى ” يجلس مع“ في التقييم من المفترض أن يجلس المعلم مع المتعلم أنه شئ نفعله مع ومن أجل الطلاب وليس شيئا نفعله للطلاب.

Assessment is used to… يستخدم التقييم ل ........ قياس تعلم وتقدم الطلاب. Measure students learning and progress. تحسين تقنيات التعلم. Improve teaching techniques. تحسين نوعية برامج التعلم. Improve the quality of teaching progress. رفع مستوى انجاز الطلاب. Raise student achievement. رفع تقارير لأولياء الأمور عن تقدم الطلاب. Report to parents on student progress.

Three forms of assessment ثلاثة أشكال للتقييم Diagnostic- pre testing students to see what they know before teaching the unit. التشخيصى : اختبار مسبق للطلاب لرؤية ما يعرفوه قبل تدريس الوحدة. Formative- assessing students’ strengths and weaknesses, and providing feedback during the unit . التكويني : تقييم نقاط القوة والضعف لدى الطلاب. Summative- Testing the student’s knowledge at the end of teaching a unit . التلخيصى : اختبار ما يعرفه الطلاب فى نهاية تدريس الوحدة.

The garden analogy: Diagnostic التناظر الوظيفى للحديقة:التشخيصى ”العلامات المميزة“ You can diagnose the plant’s strengths and weaknesses. This will help you identify what you need to do to help the plant become bigger and stronger. تشخيص مواقع القوة والضعف فى النبتة ويساعدك ذلك في التعرف على ما تحتاج أن تفعله لمساعدة النبتة لكى تصبح أكبر وأقوى.

The garden analogy: Formative التناظر الوظيفى للحديقة: التكوينى التقييم التكوينى هو التحليل المستمر لاحتياجات النبتة, يجب أن نميز متى تكون النبتة بحاجة للغذاء والماء وضوء الشمس من أجل أن تنمو. Formative assessment is the ongoing analysis of a plant’s needs - we must recognize when it needs to be fed, watered, and provided with sunlight in order for it to grow

The garden analogy: Summative التناظر الوظيفى للحديقة:التلخيصى Summative assessment of the measuring of the plant’s growth at a point. The measurement tells us how much the plants have grown. It does not affect the growth of the plants. التقييم التلخيصى لقياس نمو النبات فى نقطة معينة. يخبرنا القياس الى أى حد نمت النبتة. هذا التقييم لا يؤثر على نمو النبات.

Formative assessment التقييم التكوينى Most formative assessment is informal. The feedback and response involves both teacher and student. Formative assessment has the greatest impact on learning and achievement. Formative assessment works best when the students understand what the learning objectives are. معظم التقييم التكوينى غير رسمى .التغذية الراجعة والاستجابة تشمل المدرس والطالب. التقييم التكوينى له أعظم الأثر على التعلم والانجاز. يكون للتقويم التكوينى أفضل النتائج عندما يفهم الطلاب أهداف التعلم.

Summative assessment التقييم التلخيصى Measures the progress a student has made. Is often used at the end of a unit of work. يقيس التقدم الذى أحرزه الطالب. يستخدم غالبا فى نهاية وحدة من العمل.
