The Quality Calendar

The Quality Cycle Central have a strong commitment to their vision: ‘Break the Barriers, Live the Dream’ and to raising our standard to achieve Outstanding Grade 1 status by our next OFSTED inspection. Central achieved Significant Progress in five of the six areas of inspection, including Capacity to Improve, and reasonable progress in the other one at the Ofsted Focused Monitoring Visit in October 2011. There is a fully inclusive self-assessment process, which includes the views of all stakeholders, and regular reviews of the Quality Improvement Plan which is used very effectively to drive the improvements forward. Staff are particularly clear about the organisation’s future challenges and continue to be actively involved and initiating and managing quality improvements. Central has strong focus on improving success rates and timely achievement and continue to make significant improvements in success rates at 10pp improvement on 09-10. Success rates for the recently introduced ICT provision are very high at 89%. Timely achievement has consistently improved and are now above the national average for similar provision. Central continually seek feedback from staff, learners and employers and act upon them to drive the changes we make to our provision. Central invest significantly in commissioning external auditing services to ensure we continue to improve our provision, we also review and maintain robust internal systems and to achieve good quality audit results. Central participate in cross-partnership Peer Review. These are always useful and positive with very few recommendations or actions.
