Campus Courtesy At Doors If you see someone carrying boxes or other bulky items, ask if there is a door you can open. Always ask a person who is struggling with the door (e.g., someone using a wheelchair) if you may help. Around Campus Say hello to people you meet. Say Excuse me rather than pushing past people in a crowd or a constricted space. No gum on the sidewalk, in the grass, on the parking lotperiod.

More Campus Courtesy In class Personal Issues Be polite in your speech and manners. Blowing bubbles, snapping, or otherwise playing with gum is not ok. Sleeping and snoring in class just should not be done. Remember the class is not so large you can become invisible, so watch your body language. Do not start packing your bag until class is completely over.

Last Bit on Courtesy In Class Computers & Cell Phones Always put your cell phone on silence or turn it off during class. No texting in classever. No checking , Facebook or MySpace. In conversation Do not interrupt someone while they are talking, no matter how insightful you think what you have to say is. Please, please…no cell phone conversations in the restrooms!
