Make a Difference Day Make a Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make a Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.

Rotary MDD Purpose Build relationships among our fellow Rotarians, their family members, friends and other volunteers in our southwest valley area by serving others. Seven committee members representing all three clubs Be a catalyst for change in our community by providing leadership and resources. Our three Rotary Clubs initiated Make a Difference Day in 2008 Encourage members of our two new southwest valley Rotoract Clubs to join us. Make a positive impact for many in our community. Served two projects last year, four this year

Purpose Encourage community volunteerism outside of Rotary to increase our capacity of donated hours. West Valley National Bank established a volunteer hotline 65 volunteers last year, 103 volunteers this year (45 from Luke AFB) Support the Rotary International causes in our own community. Served Boys and Girls Club – poverty, literacy Served New Life Center – domestic abuse Served two disabled veterans – preserving the earth and disabled people
