Phase 2 Planning Process Smart Schools Committee met on January 11, 2018 to review and discuss Phase 2 Project Scope Buildings Administrators were contacted regarding current shortfalls in camera coverage Smart Schools Committee remained in constant communication through shared drive and email communication The plan was preliminarily approved by the Medina Board of Education on April 17, 2018
Current Camera System 5 DVR’s Spread across the district 132 cameras Not including Towne School ~21 TB of video storage or 7-10 days of footage 132 cameras Vast majority are analog
SSBA Camera System Total project cost of $339,234.00 4 NVR’s centrally located and managed in the district’s new data center A total of 112 TB’s of video storage (increase of ~91 TB’s) Greatly expanding current capacity and will allow for around 30 days of saved video footage 156 cameras (increase of 24) All IP Cameras Will increase coverage throughout the interior and exterior of district buildings Retire current exterior PTZ’s with 270 degree cameras Include cabling and camera installation
