Incidents of burglary are increasing against a historic ten year reduction. The reduction of burglary within Manchester is a top Council/Crime Reduction Partnership priority. We need your help to support us in combating burglary. THINK LOCK WHY

The campaign aims to provide simple and practical burglary prevention advice to at risk residents. The advice will be visible (posters, signage, literature) to act as both a reminder to residents and a deterrent to criminals. The campaign will run from now until March to match seasonal burglary trends. THINK LOCK HOW

All households will receive a direct-mail piece highlighting prevention advice as well as a window sticker. In the worst affected areas, 2,403 households will be visited by GMP Officers, and trained volunteers who will distribute the materials and offer face to face advice. The remaining 22,982 houses will have the materials delivered by a third-party distribution company.
